Around the World in 80 days

This week in Elm Tree class we have been enjoying acting out our literacy story “Around the world in 80 days”. The children took turns to dress up as the different characters and showed off their best acting skills to tell the story. We had lots of fun pretending we were on different modes of transport – especially the boat where the seas were rough and we all got wet!
In music this week we were concluding our African music theme and we enjoyed making our own jewellery to enhance our whole school performance of the songs we have learnt.
In geography we have been exploring Asia and have really enjoyed learning all about the different countries and cultures. We especially enjoyed the food tasting – this definitely brought smiles and full tummies
