Elm Tree Class: A very busy week

Hello everybody, we hope you have had an amazing week!
We have been working very hard this week in Elm Tree.
In Computing this week we had great fun, we have learnt all about algorithms and that they are just a set of instructions you follow. It’s just the word that sounds a little scary!
Even when brushing our teeth in the mornings we use an algorithm.
A group of us explored BeeBots and were able to practice programming an algorithm into the BeeBots and see if they move how we expected.
Another group of us used a program called Scratch on the Ipads. On Scratch, you are able to enter algorithms exploring different ways of how to make the character move.
Another group enjoyed using Switches to play our favourite songs on the computer, five sharks swimming in the pond was definitely a favourite.
We have also been doing lots of planning and preparation for our class assembly. This is next Friday (9th May) and we can’t wait to show you all what we have been working on! We hope to see you there!
