Elm Tree: Amazing Elm

As we reach the end of our first half-term together, we would like to say how incredibly proud we are of all the children. They have settled into their new routines so well, shown fantastic enthusiasm for learning and formed many positive relationships with both their peers and staff. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow and we are delighted to see the progress they have made. 
We have certainly been keeping busy! In Numeracy we have been exploring shapes and working hard on our number bonds, developing our mathematical understanding through a range of fun activities. 
In literacy, we have enjoyed reading and exploring 'The Secret Garden'. The children have shown great creativity and imagination and have created their own versions of the story using story maps. 
We have also been learning all about Diwali discovering why it is celebrated and taking part in a variety of activities linked to this special festival. The children were very engaged and enjoyed learning about different cultures. 
It has been a busy, fun and successful half term, and we could not be prouder of everything the children have achieved. 
We hope you all have a fantastic half term break. Enjoy so,e well deserved rest, have lots of fun and most importantly stay safe. We look forward to welcoming you back for another half term.
