Bay Tree: A Week of Wonderful Discoveries
Date: 1st Oct 2026 @ 3:51pm
What a fantastic week of learning and exploring we've had in Bay Tree.
Our pupils have been busy thinking, touching, testing, listening and discovering through lots of exciting sensory and science activities. We became little scientists as we explored different objects in water. Would it sink or would it float? There were lots of opportunities to make choices, investigate and see what happened! We also explored textures in our mystery bag, which was full of surprises. The children reached in, explored different textures and discovered objects that were hard, soft, bumpy and more. We used our communication skills to share what we found. Then things got bouncy as we investigated different balls. The children dropped, watched and listened as we discovered which ones bounced and which ones didn’t. In our Attention Autism session we explored waterproof materials and had fun finding out what happens when “rain” falls on an umbrella. Lots of fantastic opportunities for shared attention, anticipation and communication.
Throughout the week, the children have been exploring, communicating, making choices and having fun together. Well done Bay Tree.
