Hello everyone!

 

Bay Tree Class have been absolute superstars as they continue their journey with the delightful Colour Monster! It's fantastic to see them starting to anticipate what might happen next in the story – their engagement is just brilliant. Even more exciting is how they are beginning to use their communication boards and language to talk about the different colours and the feelings they represent. What a fantastic way to explore emotions!

 

Our Maths learning is also going from strength to strength. A huge well done to our Star of the Week in Maths, who has done an amazing job recognising the numerals 1 to 5! We are so proud of your hard work and progress. Keep up the fantastic counting, everyone!

 

This week, we've dived into the fascinating world of art, and our focus has been on texture. Get ready for some sensory exploration! The class have been incredibly creative, making paint out of fruit, adding a whole new dimension to their artwork. We've also experimented with adding sand to paint for a gritty feel and had lots of fun creating fluffy paint with shaving foam. What a fantastic way to explore different sensations through art!

 

Finally, we had a very special and engaging Attention Autism session linked to VE Day. In Stage One, the children listened attentively to the sounds of people clapping and watched planes fly overhead – bringing the historical event to life. Moving to Stage Two, they were mesmerised as Alice spun beautiful red, white, and blue balloons. And in Stage Three, everyone got involved by taking turns to throw paper aeroplanes – a fun and interactive way to participate.
