This week in Bay Tree we had a truly magical experience linked to our half term theme Spellbound. Our sensory story focus was “There’s a Witch in My Book” and what an adventure it was!

From the moment we opened the book, the classroom was filled with excitement, curiosity, and just a little bit of mischievous magic. As we read the book we brought the story to life with glitter and feathers for the mess, jumping black pom poms for the fleas & our very own black cat balloon.

To extend our magical spellbound theme, we became witches and wizards ourselves with some hands on potion making. Our young potion masters explored with herbs for mixing and sprinkling, lemonade for fizz and bubbles, rice for scooping and pouring and a variety of scents for that enchanting smell.

As if that wasn’t exciting enough, we were visited by a real magician today! The children were captivated by the tricks, colourful props, and magical surprises.
