Bay Tree: Fun with Food

This week, Bay Tree enjoyed exploring fruit and vegetables through a range of fun, sensory and practical activities.

The children used their senses to explore different fruits and vegetables, developing their communication, fine-motor skills and ability to make choices. They also enjoyed making fruit kebabs, preparing pretend fruit and vegetables and creating delicious fruit smoothies.

Through our activities, pupils practised important life skills such as washing, chopping, choosing and turn-taking. We also continued to develop attention and communication through our Attention Autism activities, using repetition, actions and simple language such as “clean,” “dirty,” “wash” and “splash.”

It was wonderful to see the pupils engaging, exploring and building confidence while having lots of fun with food!
