Bay Tree Class: Gunpowder Plot

This week in Bay Tree we have been learning about 'The Gunpowder Plot' in our history lessons.

The children had a fantastic time making firework pictures using paint, glitter and colourful pipe cleaners. Everyone enjoyed choosing bright colours and exploring different ways to make 'explosions' of paint on the page.

We also made our own 'wanted' poster for Guy Fawkes. To give them an old-fashioned look, the children used teabags to stain paper and make it look like parchment. This was a lovely sensory activity as the children enjoyed feeling the wet paper and watching the colour spread across the page.

To finish our week of learning the children used chalk pens to decorate our classroom windows with colourful firework designs. They created bright bursts, swirls and sparkles, turning our classroom into a mini firework show for everyone to see from outside.

What a bright and brilliant week it's been Bay Tree, just like our fireworks.
