Bay Tree: Habitat, Habitat, have to have a habitat!
Date: 26th Jun 2025 @ 3:50pm
This week in Bay Tree, we have been learning through play and exploration. It’s been a sensory packed, curiosity filled week.
In Numeracy, we’ve been handling coins and diving into the world of money. We have been paying our penny for our “Five Currant Buns” and giving them a satisfying “splat” as we counted them down!
R.E. was filled with splashes and storytelling as we explored the tale of Noah’s Ark. Our sensory story brought the experience to life with water play, cornflour squelch, and textured animal props making the learning journey as vivid and tangible as possible.
In Science, we’ve been discovering the wonderful world of habitats. From mixing cocoa powder “mud” with farm animals to sifting through sand with turtles, crabs, and sea creatures, the classroom transformed into a mini nature reserve! Each texture and tool helped us understand where different animals live, while encouraging imaginative play.
What another fun filled week in Bay Tree we have had.
