Bay Tree: Rain, Rain go away
Date: 19th Sep 2025 @ 5:29pm
In Bay Tree our young explorers have been learning all about the weather, and this week, we’ve been splashing into the world of rain! Learning about rain has been a wonderful way to connect with our senses, build communication and encourage curiosity.
In our attention autism session we listened & watched as our blue cornflour gloop fell like raindrops. Then we took turns holding an umbrella & watching the water pour over us, it felt like we were outside in a rainstorm.
In our focused work some of us sprayed blue coloured water onto umbrella pictures & watched as the rain fell. Others got to explore with sensory props such as ice packs, colanders & syringes.
It just happened to be a wet & windy week outside so we took advantage of the puddles & had some fun.
What another eventful week Bay Tree!
