Bay Tree Class: Science in Winter

Date: 21st Nov 2025 @ 8:50am

This week in Bay Tree we have been focusing on our science topic linked to winter.

In winter the world around us changes; it gets colder, the ground feels harder, and we notice how different materials behave.

We looked at hard and soft, cold and hot. We used hot water to melt the ice and rescue the animals. We explored with different materials such as ice pack, ice and fake snow. Outside we had a sensory tray full of rice that we poured over igloos, arctic animals and inuit figurine.

In attention autism we made a snowman out of flour and dressed him warm for the cold weather.

What another great week, Bay Tree.
