Bay Tree: Time after time
Date: 2nd Jul 2026 @ 2:55pm
What a fantastic week we’ve had in Bay Tree as we explored all things numerous and time.
Our messy maths activity was a huge success. The children took turns dropping the mouse down the pipe as he's running down the clock, practising their counting and taking turns. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and fantastic teamwork throughout.
Some of our children focused on learning the days of the week and months of the year, using fun sorting activities to help build their understanding. Others enjoyed matching and sorting big clocks and little clocks, recognising the different sizes while becoming more familiar with clocks.
To celebrate Maths is Fun Day, we created a giant target clock! The children took turns throwing balls at the clock, aiming for different numbers and practising number recognition in an exciting, active way. It was wonderful to see everyone joining in, encouraging their friends, and celebrating each other’s successes.
It has been a fun-filled week packed with engaging activities, laughter, learning, and lots of opportunities to build confidence with numbers and time. Well done, Bay Tree!
