Elm Tree Class: Celebrating VE Day

Hello everybody, we hope you had a relaxing long weekend.
We have been very busy this week, from rehearsing for Bugsy Malone to preparing for our class assembly, it`s been lots of hard work but we've had great fun!
This afternoon in Elm Tree, we celebrated the 80th anniversary of VE day. We learnt all about what VE day is and the reasoning behind it. We put our arts and crafts skills to the test decorating and making our own flags. Elm Tree gratefully accepted the invitation sent from Sixth Form to join them at their bistro this afternoon for a VE day party, where Sixth Form students served us cakes they had baked and decorated in blue, white and red icing along with a nice cup of cold juice. We enjoyed this lots.
This week there has also been lots of planning and preparation as a class for our assembly on Friday. We have all worked very hard on this and we are so excited to show everybody.
