Compass Centre: Class 2 Literacy superstars!

This week we would like to showcase the wonderful work pupils in the Class 2 Literacy sessions have been taking part in! Learners have enjoyed the story "I Am Enough" as part of our 'all about me' topic. This is a story about celebrating strengths, uniqueness and working together when it's tough, saying together "I am enough".
Pupils have enjoyed exploring props linked to the story, and using communication boards to express their thoughts and wants towards the props. After the story, pupils have engaged in a range of activities accross the week to work on their fine motor/mark -making/handwrititng, sentence formation, and language development, with colourful semantics work, phonics interventions and receptive language skills, by following visual sequences.
We are all so proud of the hard work this half term and we are looking forward to starting our new story next term which is all about Aliens!
