Compass Centre: Spider Fine Motor!

This week in the Compass Centre we started to get in the Halloween spirit by 'building' and 'cleaning away' some spooky spider webs! In our life skills lesson we were thinking about how spiders help to get rid of flies but then how we dust away spider webs to keep our homes clean. We used our fine motor skills to practice using our pincer grips to build some tricky cellotape spider webs but then Beth put paper flies underneath! We had to squeeze our fingers through the gaps to get the flies to then stick on the webs. Then we used our posting skills to make carboard & pipecleaner spiders to add, before ripping them all down to clean the webs! Great work everyone.
