Hi Everybody!

This week has been very busy with lots of hard work from everyone.  We are learning about reactions, properties and changes of materials in science this term.  This week was an introduction into freezing and melting by exploring what happens to a variety of materials when they are frozen then heated.  We loved exploring the water filled glove and describing how it felt, we used the vocabulary ice, cold, smooth and hard.  We also used a hair dryer on the ice hand to see if it would speed up how quickly it melted.

We are also learning about hardware and processing in computing which is a fancy way of saying we are learning about how to identify and use ICT equipment appropriately.  We have been using switches to access our favourite songs and videos on the internet by choosing using symbols or on screen.  Some pupils have been going on an ICT hunt around school and class to find different pieces of ICT equipment and finally practising their typing and mouse skills to search for pictures and videos of favourite TV characters and songs on the internet.
