Elm Tree: Keep Clean Healthy & Safe

Hi Everybody!

This half term in PSD we are learning about Health and Prevention, this means learning about personal hygiene and how to keep clean, how to stay healthy and safe.

We started off our lesson with a story called The Dirty Pig featuring a pig called Peterbug who isn’t too bothered about keeping clean or keeping his house tidy.  The pupils loved hearing about how disgusting and smelly Peterbug was and we all decided we wouldn’t want to be like him because he had no friends…

This week we were focussed on how essential a good night’s sleep is to stay healthy.  We talked about and ordered pictures of our own bedtime routines.  We also looked at things we do that are good and bad for our sleep.  We were shocked to find watching TV or being on a phone or tablet is not good at all.

After all this, it was time to settle down for a well-earned sleep with comfy blankets and pillows!
