Hi Everybody!

This week we have started a new topic in numeracy.  We are now learning about position and direction.

We started the week off by learning about prepositions including on, in, under, and next to.  We used different objects for the prepositions including soft toys.  Following this, some pupils have been learning about movement and direction.  They have been moving forwards, backwards, left, and right, following instructions, as well as describing how they have moved too.  Some pupils have excelled with directions and have now moved on to learning about turning clockwise and anti-clockwise in quarter, half, three quarter and whole turns.

As a grand finale, we have also been practising the moves to the hokey cokey as a whole group starter.  Remembering left and right when you’re singing is still a bit tricky, but we are getting there!
