Hi Everybody!

Welcome to the Elm Tree Class Blog.

This week, we would like to share what we have been learning about in computing. 

The topic for this half term has been communication and networks. In previous lessons we have been practising out typing and mouse skills, and, searching the internet for photos, videos and other information.  In this lesson, we read a story called Chicken Clicking about staying safe and behaving responsibly online.  In the story she used the farmer’s computer to purchase lots of different things for the animals on the farm and then found a friend online that she went to meet.  Unfortunately, that friend turned out to be a fox…

We talked about how unsafe she had been and that she should have told her parents what she was doing and showed them who she was talking to online.
