Elm Tree Class: Numeracy and Measure

Hi everybody!

Welcome back to the Elm Tree Class blog. 

This week we focussed on numeracy and measure.  All the pupils have been enthusiastic when comparing and measuring, and the staff have been very supportive to help them achieve their targets.  Some of the pupils have been comparing two pictures to identify long and short, and some of the pupils have been using rulers to measure aliens and flying saucers in cm.  All the pupils have tried their best to be accurate when measuring, remembering where to place the ruler, and where to stop counting along the ruler as independently as possible.
