Art in Elm Tree

Hi everybody!

Welcome to the Elm Tree Class Blog.  This week, we have been very busy during all our lessons, but we especially wanted to share what we have been learning in art.  This half term our art topic is self-expression and we are learning about an artist from Cornwall called John Dyer who uses lots of bright colours to paint landscape pictures.

We have been practicing our sketching skills in our art books, trying to recreate his distinctive style.  We really liked how he draws and paints seagulls and other birds.  We also explored mixing primary colours to see what new colours we could create.
