Hi everybody!

Welcome to the Elm Tree Class Blog.  This week we have been very busy finishing off our work in all our lessons. We are especially proud of the castles we created in DT for the Wizard of Oz to live in. We worked hard to follow our plans and designs, and we carefully selected the resources we wanted to use. We hope you enjoy looking at the photographs!

In numeracy, we have also been exploring volume and capacity using non-standard units of measurement. Using rice, pasta, lentils, and water, we used both big and small spoons to record how many scoops different containers could hold. We really enjoyed investigating the different textures of the materials as we scooped, poured, and compared them.
