Elm Tree: Our Jam-Packed Week 🌳

Welcome back everyone. We hope you all had a wonderful half-term break. It has been fantastic to welcome everyone back to school and we have certainly had a busy and exciting week of learning and fun.

This week in computing, we have been learning all about algorithms. We discovered that an algorithm is a set of instructions used to complete a task. To help us understand this, we used the example of making a jam sandwich. The children had great fun thinking carefully about each next step and seeing why instructions need to be clear and precise with lots of laughs along the way seeing the sticky situations if steps are missed or not explained. Without a doubt the children's favourite part was tasting the jam sandwiches once they had been made. 

We are very proud of the children for their amazing work this week.
