Pine Tree: Fish In The Classroom

This week we’ve had an absolutely brilliant time in DT creating our very own Sea Animal Puppets. The classroom has been bursting with imagination as sharks, jellyfish, turtles and all sorts of underwater creatures have come to life in our hands.

We linked our designs to our new literacy story, The Sea Below My Toes, which has really helped us dive deeper into the world beneath the waves. And in Makaton, we’ve been super busy learning how to sign lots of new sea creatures — the children have loved practising them and showing them to each other.

It’s been a wonderfully creative week, full of making, learning and exploring the ocean together.
