Oak Tree Class: Happy Half Term!

Happy Friday everyone! 

We have had an extremely busy week in Oak Tree Class! On Thursday, some of our pupils went to a rugby tournament and we worked incredibly well as a team, trying our hardest.  

We have also been working hard in Numeracy, learning about height. We compared everyone's height in class, seeing who was taller and shorter and we had so much fun. We then started using rulers to measure the height of different items.  

In Literacy, we worked hard when using a capital letter for the personal pronoun, "I" and carried on with our poetry work, making more acrostic poems, but trying to add similes and rhyming words.  

On Wednesday, we enjoyed taking part in "Maths is Fun" day. We worked hard manning our stall and enjoyed exploring the other stalls too. We won lots of prizes and loved working with the other schools!
