Making a Difference: Our Sixth Form Takes on Recycling and Litter Picking
Date: 24th Mar 2026 @ 3:17pm
The Sixth Form students have been rolling up their sleeves and doing something amazing during their Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) lessons, helping our school and local community stay clean and green!
As part of their skills and volunteering sections for the DofE Award, students have been learning all about recycling, caring for the environment, and the impact of litter on wildlife and our planet. They’ve shown real teamwork and responsibility by joining in litter-picking sessions around school grounds and nearby areas, making a visible difference that everyone can be proud of.
Their commitment hasn’t just made our surroundings cleaner it’s also built confidence, independence, and pride. The DofE programme helps students develop essential life skills, and our Sixth Formers are proving that caring for the environment is a great way to make a positive impact while learning valuable new things.
Well done to all our Sixth Form students taking part you’re showing true leadership and community spirit. Every piece of litter picked, and every bottle recycled brings us one step closer to a cleaner, greener school.
