Maple Trees Literacy story

This half term in Maple Tree we have been busy!

To start with our creative curriculum is Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, so in true Maple Tree manner we got messy! We used our recycling to make scoops for water play and we used what was left to build our own junk model, we picked whatever we could find that made us smile, this included paint glitter and all sorts of different messy resources.

In Literacy we are reading the Revolting Rhymes story Three Little Pigs. We have enjoyed huffing and puffing and blowing different materials to see which was strongest just like the the wolf in our story! We will be matching symbols to words that are from our story and from then on writing sentences about the Three Little Pigs. Maple Tree this half term will be masters of poetry. We will be looking at poems and seeing how they rhyme and how they sound, so we can write our very own.
