Seedlings: Mark making, mess and amazing focus

Seedlings have had a productive week focusing on early writing. The children explored a range of sensory mark‑making activities using their hands, feet, stamps, toys and different tools. These experiences supported their motor development, encouraged purposeful movement, and helped them build confidence with early writing skills.

Alongside this, the children have been sitting and engaging really well during our Attention Autism sessions. Their focus, anticipation and participation have noticeably improved, and it’s been great to see them sustaining attention for longer periods and showing real interest in each stage of the activity.

It’s been a week of steady progress, growing independence and increasing engagement across the board. We’re looking forward to building on these foundations as we move into next week’s learning.
