Maths magic!

This week the Compass Centre would like to showcase some of the hard-work pupils have been doing in their maths sessions!

Some groups have been working on their understanding of numbers, sequencing and quantities through Attention Autism sessions linked to their numbers, providing a playful element to their learning! These groups have then been working together to complete number linked games and their focus work.

Other groups have been working on applying their number skills to functional activities for life. They have been measuring using both standardised and non standardised units of measurement to record height and length. Other peers have been working on creating quantities to use within calculations or identification of coins to support their independence when shopping in the community.
