Oak Tree: Pizza!

We hope you have had a great week - we certainly have!

Oak Tree Class has been very busy, especially during our vocational lessons where our current topic is catering. The children have really thrown themselves into the practical learning, and it's been wonderful to see their confidence grow. 

This week we made our very own pizzas. The classroom was filled with excitement (and delicious smells!) as everyone practised thier cutting, chopping and kneading skills. These aren't just cooking teqniques, they are important life skills. Learning how to handle utensils safely, follow steps in a recipe, and work with different ingredients helps children build independence, coordination and problem solving abilities. Plus, creating something from scratch gives them a real sense of achievement.

We're so proud of the effort, team work, and enthusiasm the children have shown.
