Oak Tree Class Weekly Update

We hope everybody has had a fantastic week – we certainly have in Oak Tree Class!

This week, we’ve been working very hard in numeracy, learning all about 2D and 3D shapes and their properties. The children have been using a wide range of vocabulary to describe shapes, from simple words like straight and curved to more advanced terms such as vertices and edges.

Some students have also been exploring perpendicular and parallel lines, as well as identifying horizontal and vertical lines. It’s been amazing to see their confidence grow as they tackle these new concepts!

In addition to our maths learning, we’ve been busy filming for our class Advent video this week. We can’t wait for you to see it – but shhh, it’s top secret until the big day!
