Seedlings: Patterns, Play and Pouring
Date: 19th Mar 2026 @ 3:42pm
This week in Seedling Class has been full of curiosity, creativity, and plenty of sensory fun. Our little learners have been busy exploring maths through patterns. It’s been wonderful to see how confidently the children are beginning to recognise numbers, colours and patterns in their play.
We also enjoyed diving into the world of a new story and song. Jack and the Beanstalk which captured everyone’s imagination as we sang and acted out the giant’s footsteps. Alongside this, we continued our story with The Gingerbread Man, joining in with the repeated phrases and using props to bring the story to life.
Our fun-with-food activities were a big hit too. The children explored textures, smells, and tastes in a playful, hands-on way... always a brilliant opportunity for communication and sensory engagement. Water play added another layer of excitement, with pouring, splashing, and experimenting with bubbles.
Throughout the week, we offered a range of sensory experiences to support regulation, exploration, and joy. From soft materials to crunchy ones, from calming activities to messy play, the children had plenty of opportunities to follow their interests and express themselves.
Another lovely week of learning, laughter, and growing together in Seedling Class.
