This week in Pine Tree we’ve had a fantastic week working super hard. In art we’ve been looking at sculptures. We learnt about the artists Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore and their sculptures. We took inspiration from their masterpieces to create even better sculptures. We did this by first practicing with play-dough then moved onto the real thing, air drying clay.

Also this week we’ve been working hard on our Phonics and handwriting. We’ve been sounding out the sounds and using whiteboard and pens to practice our letter formation.

Last but not least, in literacy we’ve reading the story Paddington. We’ve nailed sequencing our story using pictures from our book putting them in order. Once we did that confidently, we started to change some parts of the story to whatever our clever brains could think of. For example instead of Paddington eating Marmalade we changed it to Paddington eating peanut butter.
