Rowan Class Blog – Our First Week
Date: 3rd Sep 2025 @ 4:10pm
We’ve had a fantastic first week in Rowan Class! All of the children have settled in brilliantly and have been busy exploring their new classroom and getting stuck into lots of exciting learning opportunities.
In literacy, we have been enjoying the story The Snail and the Whale. The children have been exploring the sensory props linked to the story, which has made it even more engaging and interactive. In numeracy, we have been exploring numbers and counting through practical activities and games.
Our topic work has been full of creativity. We have been experimenting with making different kinds of lines – using paint, crayons, and even icing on cupcakes!
We are also incredibly proud of how well the children have done at lunchtimes. This week they have all been going to the hall to eat their dinner with the rest of the school. This can sometimes feel a little daunting, but they have taken it in their stride, and everyone has commented on how well they have managed this big step.
It has been a wonderful start to the term, and we are really excited for all the learning and adventures ahead in Rowan Class!
