Rowan Tree: Lots Of Learning!
Date: 19th Jun 2026 @ 8:47am
This week in Rowan Tree we have been working really hard! In literacy we have been busy exploring our book for this term, “Barry the Fish with Fingers”. We have loved listening to this funny story and seeing all the things Barry gets up to. We especially love it at the end when Barry and his fishy friends have a party. The props have really helped bring the story to life for us.
Afterwards in our focused work, we have re-read the story using our communication boards to point to key vocabulary. We have also been working hard to remember what happens next in the story. To further support our learning we have been exploring colourful sensory trays filled with items you might find under the sea. We have also enjoyed finger painting fish and making playdough starfish, both of which help us develop our fine motor skills whilst having fun and being creative.
In Numeracy, we have been learning about time, focusing on the days of the week and the different activities we do throughout the day. We talked about routines such as eating breakfast in the morning and putting on our pyjamas at night. We have enjoyed discussing our daily activities and building our understanding of when different events happen.
Well done everyone for another fantastic week of learning!
