Rowan Tree: Baking Biscuits

Welcome back Rowan Tree class for our last half term of the year! We’ve had a fantastic start to the new term and the children have returned to school ready to work, learn and enjoy our final weeks together.

Our first topic of the term is Design and Technology (DT) and we have already really enjoyed getting started, especially as we have been making biscuits! Yesterday, we made our biscuit dough, carefully measuring and mixing the ingredients. Then we rolled it out and used cookie cutters to create lots of different shapes.

After that, we baked our biscuits and watched them turn golden and delicious. Today, we enjoyed decorating the biscuits with coloured icing and different sweets. Obviously, the best bit came next… we got to taste them! It has been a brilliant start to the half term already, and we are excited for all the learning still to come in Rowan Tree class.
