Rowan Tree: Keeping Active!
Date: 20th Mar 2026 @ 8:41am
This week we thought we'd share some pictures from one of our favourite times of the week. We love to be active in Rowan Tree Class and one of the ways we do this is by visiting the multi-sensory classroom each week. The room is full of bright colours, different textures and fun equipment for us to explore.
One of the most popular features is the swing. Some of us enjoy gentle, calming movements while others like to swing a little higher for a more energetic experience. It is a great way to build confidence and enjoy movement safely.
For those who enjoy climbing, there are plenty of opportunities to challenge ourselves. There are foam shapes to build and make our own structures to climb on or we can knock them down and start to build all over again. It's great fun and encourages our planning and team work skills. There is also a climbing wall helps which helps us to develop our strength and coordination as we try to reach the top.
The ball pool is another favourite. We love jumping in, and feeling the balls surround us. Lots of us enjoy throwing the balls into the air and watch them fall down on us too. It is a fantastic way to have fun and relax at the same time. The bouncy slide brought lots of laughter to the room. Climbing up and sliding down again and again was great fun, and it helped us build confidence and enjoy active play.
We have a fantastic time, as you can see from all the smiles, and when we return to class we are ready to focus on our work.
