Rowan Tree Class: Lights, Switch, Action!

This week our topic has been ICT, where we’ve been learning all about how our actions can make things happen!

In our Attention Autism sessions, we had lots of exciting new light-up toys that really grabbed our attention and helped us focus. We then explored making patterns in sand on the light box.

Next, we got busy making choices on the interactive whiteboard, where we could choose to listen to songs from our favourite shows.

We’ve had lots of fun discovering that when we press switches, exciting things happen, from lights turning on, to fans whirring and bubble machines blowing!

Some of us even took to the wheel with remote control cars, discovering how we could quite literally set the wheels in motion! It’s been a fantastic week of exploring cause and effect through play and technology.
