Rowan Tree Class: Making our mark!

This week in Literacy, our focus has been on creative writing and mark making. The children have been trying a range of different activities to develop their early writing skills, including painting in sand, using 'sea water' on doodle mats, and even making patterns in 'snail slime” (hair gel). We've also had lots of practice with good old-fashioned pens and paper!

The creativity didn’t stop there as some of our learners have gone on to  try and develop their own versions of the story, with the snail meeting a different creature and going to some new place. It’s been wonderful to get all our creative juices flowing.
