Rowan Tree Class: Out of This World!

Last week was Inspiration Week across school, and our theme for this half term was “Out of This World!” Rowan Class received an exciting box packed full of goodies to spark our imaginations and help bring our new story to life.

Our focus text this half term is “There’s an Alien in Your Book,” which tells the tale of an alien whose spaceship crash-lands on Earth. We’ve loved getting to know the story and exploring a range of sensory props to bring it to life, from alien slime to rockets, parachutes, and of course, a very friendly monster!

The highlight of the week was Inspiration Day last Friday, when a life-sized alien came to visit us in class. We couldn’t believe our eyes! We then spent the morning enjoying lots of sensory play, including glittery salt dough, moon sand and even rescuing animals trapped in ice.

It’s been such a fantastic week that we can honestly say: our imaginations are now truly out of this world! 🚀🛸 👽
