Rowan Tree: Planting Seeds

Our topic this week has been science and we have been learning all about plants. We've looked at the different parts of a plant and how plants grow from seeds.

We've used real flowers to explore the different parts of a plant, learning about the stem, leaves, petals and roots. We also learned about how seeds grow into plants. We discovered that seeds grow roots first, then a stem, and finally leaves, and flowers. We have been very busy planting our own seeds and we are really looking forward to watching them grow over the next few weeks.
