Rowan Tree: The Great Fire of London
Date: 6th Nov 2025 @ 3:12pm
This week in Rowan Class our topic has been history and we have been learning all about The Great Fire of London. It has been an exciting way to start the new half-term! During our Attention Autism session, everyone was completely engaged as we watched the flames spreading across London. We then joined together to sing “London’s Burning” as we waited for the fire engine to arrive to help put out the flames.
After that, it was time for us to become firefighters ourselves! The children practised their fire-fighting skills, taking turns to squirt water at the flames to try and extinguish the fire. There was so much excitement and brilliant teamwork as we aimed our hoses at the fiery scenes of London. Then we had fun splashing and playing in the water left behind. What a fantastic start to the new term.
