This week in Seedlings, we focused on Understanding the World: People and Communities.

We continued exploring The Commotion in the Ocean and enjoyed joining in with 5 Little Fish Splat.

The children investigated photographs of familiar staff, showing growing interest in recognising familiar faces and developing a sense of belonging. It was lovely to see the children engaging with stories, photographs, people and objects that are familiar and meaningful to them, while also beginning to understand how their smiles and laughter can influence the reactions of others.

We also took part in the whole-school Maths is Fun Day, which had a football theme. The Seedlings class represented themselves brilliantly, joining in with enthusiasm and enjoying a variety of fun mathematical activities linked to football. It was a fantastic day filled with smiles, exploration and learning. ⚽😊
