Sixth Form: Animal Care

We have had another great week of learning in Sixth Form. 

One of our vocational options this year is Animal Care. We are starting by thinking about pets and what they need. The lessons begin with a quiz in which students have to identify different pets from the sounds they make. This can become quite competitive, but it is great fun for everyone. 

We have been reading a story about a boy and the pets he wanted. One group then worked on sequencing the story before answering some comprehension questions. They have amazed us with their understanding of the story. 

Another group looked at pictures of different pets and sorted them into animal categories. After initially sorting them into two categories, they progressed to sorting them into four categories. 

It has been fantastic to see how everyone has settled into their learning across all of the vocational options.
