Sixth Form: Cook their own lunch!

On a Tuesday, some of our sixth form students work really hard during the mornings making their own lunch in their meal prep lesson.

Our students start their lesson by washing their hands then putting on an apron and gloves. This week they were cooking a chickpea and lentil curry. Using the skills they have learnt over the last few weeks they did some chopping, stiring, opening tins, cooking and serving. Then after they have cooked and eaten, the students will do the washing up. All the students enjoyed trying their curry. 

This lesson is really helping build those independent skills that our students need for life after Pear Tree!
