Sixth Form: Duke of Edinburgh

Date: 22nd Oct 2026 @ 8:08am

We have had another fantastic final week of the half term in Sixth Form. Learning has continued across all areas, and it has been great to see the progress the students have made.

This week's blog focuses on the Duke of Edinburgh group and the amazing work they have done. For the volunteering section of the award, the students came up with a range of ideas to complete this part of the programme. Their final decision was to start a Pear Tree Dance Club during one of the lunchtime sessions.

The students have learned a variety of dances and have welcomed pupils from across the school to join them, teaching them the routines they have practised. This has been great fun, and everyone involved has had a wonderful time.

We hope you all have a wonderful half term and that the students enjoy a well-earned rest.
