Elm Tree: Space 🪐☄️🌎

Date: 15th Oct 2026 @ 3:51pm

Hello everybody, we hope you've all had a fantastic week.

In Elm Tree class this week our science focus has been all about SPACE. 🪐 We made a sensory journey all the way to the moon. Exploring "moon dust" and the reaction when Meteorites hit. Using our imaginations to experience what it would be like to travel through space and step out into the moon.

Next we went on to learn about the different planets. The children enjoyed  exploring the eight different planets and finding out how they orbit the sun. We started putting the planets in their correct order starting with Mercury, Venus , Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. Through a range of interactive and sensory activities the children have developed an understanding of each planet and what makes them special.

The children have really impressed us with their enthusiasm this week, well done Elm Tree class.

Wishing everybody a lovely weekend, see you next week.

Lots of love, Elm Tree Class 🌳😄
