Elm Tree: The Secret Garden

Hello Everybody,

We hope you have all had a fantastic week, we certainly have in Elm Tree Class.

This week in literacy we have been enjoying reading "The Secret Garden." The children have been engaging well with the story and exploring different sensory items linked to different parts of the story helping bring it to life and engage our senses.

As we worked through the story we have also been practicing our makaton signing, developing our communication skills whilst supporting our understanding of the text.

Our next challenge was to put our memories to the test by ordering pages of the story in the correct sequence. The children did an amazing job recalling key events showing just how much they have remembered from our reading sessions.
