What a fantastic start to the school year we've had!

We hope you all had a lovely summer holiday and were able to enjoy the sunshine.

This year in the Compass Centre, we’re doing the blog a little differently. Each week, we’ll be focusing on one particular session. This will give you a closer look at the variety of sessions we offer and the amazing experiences our pupils have.

This week, our spotlight is on Challenge Time. Each pupil takes part in a Challenge Time session once a week, and this half term, the activities are based on our creative curriculum theme: "All About Me."

Our focus this week has been "My Face, My Feelings." Pupils looked at their own faces in a mirror, identifying features such as eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Some were also able to recognise the colour of their hair and eyes. They then chose a face template and used either pens or cut-out facial expressions to design their own face. After that, they used playdough to create different facial expressions and emotions.

Everyone had lots of fun and worked really hard to complete the different tasks!
